Ketika ribuan manusia menyalakan lilin di Lapangan Gasibu, pada saat bersamaan Pemerintah Provinsi (Pemprov) Jabar sedang melaksanakan kegiatan nonton bareng (nobar) laga Persib Bandung melawan tuan rumah Semen Padang di halaman Gedung Sate. Lokasi nonton bareng tersebut tepat berada di seberang Lapangan Gasibu.
Warga Bandung yang jumlahnya tak kalah banyak dengan aksi bakar lilin ternyata ramai memadati acara nobar laga lanjutan Liga 1 musim 2017 tersebut. Muncul kebisingan khas nonton bareng yang membuat pegiat aksi bakar lilin merasa terganggu.
Sebuah pernyataan dari akun twitter @SydSalesman kemudian memicu konflik di jagat lini masa. Akun tersebut mengatakan, aksi bakar lilin yang dilakukan dengan hening tanpa suara tiba-tiba 'diganggu' oleh kebisingan acara nobar Persib.

Cuitan dari akun yang disinyalir merupakan pendukung Gubernur DKI Jakarta non aktif Basuki Tjahaja Purnama ini kemudian sampai ke akun salah satu basis pendukung Persib, @vikingcimahifc. Tak lama, akun kelompok pendukung tim kabanggaan rakyat Jabar itu mengonfirmasinya ke akun resmi Pemprov Jabar, @humasjabar.
Akun yang dikelola tim Humas Jabar ini pun kemudian melakukan pelurusan. Menurut Humas Jabar, acara nobar sudah lama diumumkan akan digelar. Kegiatan ini dilakukan bersamaan dengan agenda Pemprov Jabar dalam menjalin interaksi dengan rakyat Bumi Pasundan, Ngopi Saraosna Vol.2.
Acara tersebut, merupakan agenda resmi Pemprov Jabar yang sudah dipersiapkan dan disosialisasikan sejak lama. Kegiatan Nobar Persib pun memang lumrah dilakukan di halaman Gedung Sate.
Justru menurut mereka, acara bakar lilin di Lapangan Gasibu lah yang tak mengantongi izin resmi. Panitia Ngopi Saraosna Vol.2 pun tak tahu akan ada acara bakar lilin yang diklaim untuk membangkitkan kedamaian nusantara tersebut.
"Gedung Sate menyatakan bahwa giat tersebut (aksi bakar lilin) tidak mendapatkan izin resmi," cuit @humasjabar, Ahad (14/5).
