Rilis pertamina itu dikeluarkan oleh Wianda Pusponegoro selaku VP Corporate Communication PT Pertamina dengan nomor kontak 0812 1100 2574.
Dalam klarifikasinya, pertama memberikan lima poin klarifikasi.

Jika rubber seal tidak ada pada tabung atau kondisinya telah rusak/getas maka ketika pengisian tabung dilakukan akan timbul kebocoran yang sangat mudah di deteksi secara visual.
Selanjutnya petugas pengisian akan menyisihkan keberadaan tabung tersebut untuk diganti rubber sealnya.
5. Kepada pengguna LPG agar memperhatikan keamanan penggunaan LPG, di mana salah satu ketentuan terkait safety ini adalah “Dilarang mencongkel valve tabung LPG”, karena hal ini dapat merusak spindle valve dan dapat menyebabkan kebocoran pada tabung.
