''Isteri saya dirujuk ke dokter penyakit jiwa di RSUD Banyumas sejak Sabtu (1/8), karena mengalami depresi berat,'' kata Muhammad Bagir (34), suami wajib pajak, Rabu (5/8).
Dia menyebutkan, sejak ditahan di Rutan Banyumas, isterinya mengalami depresi berat. Dia sering menjadi histeris dan kemudian beberapa kali pingsan. ''Mungkin pikiran isteri saya tidak bisa menerima kenyataan harus ditahan karena dianggap mengemplang pajak. Padahal, kami memang sudah tidak mampu lagi membayar tunggakan pajak yang dituduhkan pihak kantor pajak,'' jelasnya.
Bagir menyebutkan, dalam kasus tungggakan pajak tersebut, pihaknya sebenarnya sudah berupaya melunasi tunggakan tersebut. Meski besarnya tunggakan yang ditetapkan kantor Pajak Pratama Purwokerto sebesar Rp 3,9 miliar, dia tidak tahu berasal dari mana. ''Dari pemeriksaan kantor pajak tahun 2007-2009, tunggakan pajaknya ditetapkan sebesar Rp 1,8 miliar. Namun karena kesulitan membayar, total tunggakan pajak menjadi Rp 3,9 miliar karena ditambah denda,'' katanya.
Dia mengaku, sebelum terjerat masalah tunjakan pajak ini, usaha yang dirintis keluarganya memang tergolong sukses. Dia dan isterinya memulai usaha dagang tahun 2007 hingga kemudian menjadi pemasok barang kebutuhan di pasar modern dan pedagang tradisional. Dari modal yang tadinya hanya Rp 200 juta, pada tahun 2009 berkembang menjadi Rp sekitar 1 miliar.
Namun saat usahanya itu berkembang, usaha dagang yang atas nama isterinya dianggap telah mengemplang pajak. ''Saya sendiri tidak tahu kenapa dianggap mengemplang, karena dalam setiap transaski dengan toko-toko modern kami tidak pernah telat membayar pajak. Tapi pihak kantor pajak menganggap saya mengemplang pajak, terkait transaksi dengan pedagang kecil,'' katanya.
Bagir tidak mengerti dalam transaki dengan pedagang pasar dia tidak bisa membayar pajak karena para pedagang pasar tersebut tidak memiliki faktur pajak karena bukan badan usaha berbadan hukum. Dari sinilah kemudian muncul angka tunggakan pajak sebesar Rp 1,8 miliar.
Terkait masalah besarnya tunggakan pajak tersebut, Bagir dan isterinya mengaku sudah berulang kali berusaha menemui pegawai pajak di Kantor Pratama Purwokerto untuk meminta klarifikasi. ''Saya juga diminta menemui petugas kantor pajak berinisial AR. Tapi tidak pernah bisa ditemui sampai kemudian tanggungan pajak kami makin besar karena terkena denda,'' katanya.
Bahkan akibat masalah pajak ini, Bagir mengaku usaha dagang keluarganya mengalami bangkrut pada tahun 2013.
