Bahkan jauh hari sebelum adanya isu akan diusung sebagai calon Wakil Gubernur DKI Jakarta. Keengganan Yoyok malah membuat ratusan warga Batang menggelar unjuk rasa. Mereka berusaha agar Yoyok tetap memimpin Kabupaten Batang untuk periode berikutnya.
Sebenarnya Yoyok sudah sejak lama dan berulangkali mengatakan dirinya tidak akan mencalonkan diri lagi sebagai Bupati Batang sebelum ada isu dirinya akan diusung sebagai bakal calon wakil Gubernur DKI Jakarta. Namun massa yang tergabung dalam Masyarakat Batang Bersatu (MBB) merasa keberhasilan Yoyok mengangkat citra daerah yang dipimpinnya harus dipertahankan.
Aksi dilakukan di kantor Bupati Batang siang tadi, Rabu (7/9/2016). Ratusan warga yang mayoritas ibu rumah tangga itu menyerukan agar Yoyok tetap memimpin Batang di periode dan tidak maju di Pilgub DKI Jakarta. Bahkan seorang ibu menarik tangan Yoyok ketika ditemui di pendopo Kabupaten Batang.
"Kami minta Pak Yoyok maju lagi dan memenangkan Pilkada 2017," kata salah seorang wanita.
Menanggapi hal itu, Yoyok kembali mengingatkan soal pernyataannya yang tidak akan maju lagi pada Pilkada serentak tahun 2017 sebagai Bupati Batang. Namun ia berjanji akan mempertimbangkannya jika ada desakan warga.
"Saya sudah pernah sampaikan tidak akan maju lagi. Tapi akan kami pertimbangkan atas desakan warga," kata Yoyok.
Yoyok menambahkan, perlu peran partai politik untuk maju dalam Pilkada. Oleh karena itu ia berharap warga bersabar menunggu respon parpol yang bersedia mengusungnya.
"Tunggu dua minggu ke depan, bersabar, bagaimana respons parpol," ujarnya.
Aksi Masyarakat Batang Bersatu itu ternyata ditanggapi oleh aktivis Teman Ahok, Singgih Widyastono melalui akun Twitter @singgihwidiyas. Komentar Singgih ternyata membuat MBB geram karena berbunyi, "Ini berita placement bgt, antara masih ngarep atau cari cara buat maju lagi jadi bupati batang". Singgih juga menyertakan tautan soal aksi MBB tersebut.
Juru bicara MBB, Rukila Zaini, warga Dracik, Batang menilai kicauan Singgih menyakitkan karena seolah aksi mereka seperti pesanan. Padahal aksinya benar-benar atas dasar keinginan agar Yoyok tetap memimpin Batang karena sudah terbukti keberhasilannya.
"Kami ini Ibu rumah tangga, setiap hari merasakan perubahan Batang. Aksi kami karena cinta pada Batang, bukan pesanan siapa-siapa. Rakyat Batang tidak bisa dipesan-pesan. Saya harap Dia (Singgih) meminta maaf pada seluruh Rakyat Batang," kata Rukila.
"Pak Yoyok tidak mau maju lagi di Batang. Kami sedang meyakinkan. Rakyat butuh beliau. Dia (Singgih) terlalu angkuh dan sombong menganggap pemberitaan aksi kami pesanan Pak Yoyok," imbuhnya.
Bahkan untuk meyakinkan, Rukila mempersilakan Singgih datang ke Batang dan akan disambut. Rukila ingin menunjukkan kepedulian warga Batang yang tulus.
