Ia kemudian berusaha tenang dan menjelaskan bahwa Allah di dalam pesan singkatnya berarti Tuhan tidak ada maksud lainnya.
Jiva dan wanita tersebut sempat berdebat. Beverly sampai minta pindah duduk dengan pramugari tapi kedua awak pesawat itu menuturkan kalau tidak ada lagi kursi kosong. Mereka pun bersikap tegas bila Beverly tidak mau duduk maka ia akan dikeluarkan dari pesawat.
Beverly akhirnya memilih tetap duduk di samping Jiva tetap sambil ketakutan. Jiva mengaku sedih dan pikirannya berkecamuk. Ia takut pengalaman wanita berhijab lain yang pernah dikeluarkan dari pesawat hanya karena berjilbab akan dialaminya.

Beverly menjawab, "Aku hanya berpikir bagaimana kalau ini pesan terakhir kamu (sebelum lakukan bom bunuh diri di pesawat -red)."
